Fitness Friday: Free Workout Videos for Travel

Exercising while traveling has never been easier!

Not only do hotels have onsite fitness facilities, but some have taken it up a notch. If you are staying at a Westin Hotel, you may have the option to book a “signature WestinWORKOUT room” (at a slight upcharge). Are you more of a Four Seasons traveler? This luxury hotel chain offers onsite fitness facilities, and depending on where you are on the globe, you may also have access to onsite fitness classes with an in-person instructor, guided hikes, workout gear, fitness apps with a personal trainer, and so much more. The Westin and Four Seasons are not the only hotel chains getting creative to ensure your personal fitness goals are not placed on the back burner while you are traveling. Read more here.

But, what if you are crashing with a friend or relative for the holidays, or perhaps your hotel isn’t quite up to speed on this new wave of fitness, and you’re left wondering, “what can I do with this equipment?”

Don’t stress it. Just pack your phone, tablet or laptop, and check out these helpful sites to ensure your workouts do not suffer while you are on the road!

YouTube

If you are looking for an exercise that requires very little work to find, then YouTube is your best friend. Anyone can access workout videos on the site by using the search bar to discover videos more specific to your desires. Create and log-in to your account and you can like and subscribe to workout channels that appeal most to you. From Vibrant Zumba routines and intense Spin classes, to quick HIIT workouts and recharging Yoga sessions, YouTube is by far one of the easiest, most accessible online formats for your travel fitness needs. Beware though, many videos are FREEbies to get you started and the channel may eventually seek to up-sale you.

Amazon Prime

Most of you know Amazon for placing an order and getting it at your doorstep quickly (especially if you are a Prime member). But, did you know that this shopping network also has some really amazing workout videos? Once you login to your Amazon Prime account, simply select videos and search your desired type of workout. Though not totally free, but included in your Prime membership, these exercise videos are sure to help you stay on track while you are away from home. Not sure what to look up? Give these five worthy workouts a try!

FitnessBlender

Exploring your online exercise options can be fun, but this website is solely dedicated to Fitness. Created by the personal trainer husband and wife duo, Kelli and Daniel Segars, the site allows you to filter your workout videos by duration, difficulty, body focus, equipment and more. By joining the FitnessBlender family you can also gain access to build and track your workouts (whether you’re on the road or not), receive additional support from other members, and you’ll likely find a workout that will work for you no matter your fitness level.
